Bravest Studios “RUNNERS”
Available Today, Friday, May 31 at 2PM EST at https://drops.braveststudios.com/
Price: $118
New York’s own Bravest Studios is the budding hub for innovative tongue-in-cheek design focused on iconography and culture.
From the ‘BEAR CLAWS’ to the ‘BRAINIACS’, Bravest’s footwear catalog is stacked with shoes that set the collective apart from its competitors. The brand’s return to the sneaker game is finally here with the standout kelly green “kross kountry runners.”
Reminiscent of the sporty Y2K silhouette, a classic white mesh base is contrasted by tan cross stitch detailing. The graphic leather upper is built on cross-shaped accents and complemented by green sole and heel lining details.
Action Bronson x New Balance 1906R “Rosewater”
Available Today, Friday, May 31 at 10AM at newbalance.com
Price: TBD
The talented and multifaceted rapper kept quiet about his highly anticipated second collaboration with New Balance until last weekend, when he hit the ‘gram with a personal statement.
“These are all singular pieces of my soul and my art. Enjoy it,” Bronson summarized.
The Y2K inspired shoe is a colorful mirage, much like Bronson’s bold personality and journey exploring all of his passions — from music to wrestling and cooking.
The light green vamp with pink underlining panels pops against the bright orange sole and purple heel cap design. Bright neon laces add more contrast in comparison to the colorful outsole.
The Nike Dunk Low “Philly”
Available Today, Friday May 31 at 10AM EST at Lapstone & Hammer and Creme.
There will also be a second release at other Philly-based retailers on June 1st.
Price: $135
Philly is the next up to continue Nike’s city-themed tradition. In partnership with Philadelphia legends Lapstone & Hammer and Creme, the love letter to the city of brotherly love was born out of collaboration.
Concrete gray paint splatter panels line the white leather sole and distressed suede hugs the heel as a nod to the hard working blue-collar workers in the city. A colorful paint swirl fabric that mimics the murals around the city lines the shoe and rounds the heel cap, stamped with “PHILLY” in the same print.
The Eagles-inspired green laces are intricately imprinted with the coordinates of Philadelphia, but not to be outdone by the Nike swoosh that changes color with wear on the inner of the shoe.
Off-White "BE RIGHT BACK"
New York and Miami Colorways: Currently Available at off---white.com.
Paris and Milan Colorways: TBD
Price: $615
Cities are also a big topic at Off-White for their new “BE RIGHT BACK” collection inspired by jetsetters. Representing four bustling corners of the globe — New York, Miami, Paris and Milan — each mesh and rubberized chunky sneaker is said to be designed to “merge performance running aesthetics with Japanese design principles,” according to the brand’s website.
The Paris design’s cool tones put you right on the metro line in the moody city. Just a look at New York’s classic palette makes you want to be on the go. Miami’s bubbly colors are a nod to retro art-deco design and the iconic party attitude the destination is known for. The Milan design is full of warm and rich tones that exude the class and sophistication of the city.
Each structured sneaker is decorated with swirling arrow designs and color cutouts complete with a luggage on the tongue and “OFF” embossed on the sole.
Di’orr Greenwood X Nike SB Dunk High
Available June 4 at 10AM EST on the NIKE SNKRS APP.
Price: $145
The “Navajo Nation” native and multidisciplinary artist set herself apart with vibrant skateboard designs inspired by her intricate culture. For her second collaboration with Nike, Di’orr brings a bright look reminiscent of the natural landscapes of her hometown to the Dunk High.
A warm-toned pattern inspired by traditional Native American fabric covers the tongue and heel, complementing the bright contrasting orange and turquoise suede panels.
In detail stitching on the signature Nike check, the Big Dipper constellation is a subtle surprise. In Native cultures the constellation is said to resemble a man lying down who represents the father and protector of the home. More dreamy details include star shaped holes sprinkled across the vamp and the full Utah desert skyline on the under sole.
