Gunna Wunna has been pushin’ “P” since his 2022 release — hitting the gym, dropping a new album and touring the country with Flo Milli. His latest move is expanding into the world of fashion backed by a long history of notable personal style.
Gunna’s debut collection with BoohooMan drops Wednesday, June 5. ‘P by Gunna’ is a collection of relaxed streetwear with hints of 90’s references and strong moto influences.
The 92- piece collection features a variety of ready-to-wear and outwear designs. While the collection is being released through Bohooman exclusively, its variety has unisex appeal.
The P-star is the anchor emblem of the collection, as a clear nod to the rapper’s signature saying. Gunna’s birth year, 1993, is also a popular element throughout the designs.
A color block P-star motorcycle jacket has emerged already as a standout of the collection, available in a solid black and contrasting color variations in red, blue and gray.
On the brand’s Instagram, the “P Power” rapper has been pictured in a P-star hockey jersey and coordinating P-star shorts. Other sneak peeks include velour and sweat sets and graphic long sleeves.
Distressed t-shirts are a key element of the collection, from the classic star logo shirt to the cheeky ‘Sex Ed’ cutoff tee.
In a statement Gunna boasted about his brand saying, “BoohooMan and I are about to create something that’s never been done with the brand, we’ve elevated the fabric, I personally designed every garment and challenged the company to develop a collection with the best of everything.”
Shane Chin, Head of Design at Boohoo Group shared why Gunna was a perfect choice for their latest collaboration. “His fashion authority and influence within the music industry perfectly aligns with boohooMAN’s commitment to offering streetwear ready-to-wear pieces,” he said.
The representative also stated “one of wun” rapper was has heavily involved in the design process, working closely “to create and design a unique premium sub-brand range, focusing on interchangeable higher-quality designs with heavier fabrics.”
Gunna now joins the BoohooMan catalog of collaborations including Quavo and DDG.
